Necrobroomea micropoda (Eisenack and Cookson, 1960) Wiggins 1975; emend. Below, 1990

Now Batioladinium. Originally Broomea, subsequently (and now) Batioladinium, thirdly Necrobroomea, fourthly Imbatodinium.
Taxonomic junior synonym: Imbatodinium fractum, according to Below (1990, p.56);
Taxonomic junior synonym: Broomea (now Batioladinium?) pellifera, according to Wiggins (1975, p.111) — however, Dörhöfer and Davies (1980, p.38) retained Broomea (as Batioladinium?) pellifera. Below (1990, p.54) also proposed this combination.
Lentin and Williams, 1993, retained the species in Batioladinium.

Original description: Eisenack and Cookson, 1960, p. 7-8: Broomea micropoda
Shell broadly fusiform to almost cylindrical, tapering to a short bluntly-pointed apical horn and with two small, usually unequal, pointed antapical projections; no indications of tabulation, "girdle" or a pylome have been observed. Shell-membrane rather thick, coarsely and closely granular.
Dimensions: Holotype: 100 Ám long, 47 Ám broad. Range: 83-108 Ám long, 28-51 Ám broad.
