Tax. jr. synonym of Odontochitina operculata (O. Wetzel, 1933) Deflandre and Cookson, 1955, according to Deflandre and Cookson, 1955.

Theca fairly thin walled, rounded, laevigate, hyaline; epitheca carries one long straight tapering horn; hypotheca carries two shorter horns, tapering, and usually of different length; one horn forms a direct axial continuation of the hypotheca, the other, usually smaller, branches off from the hypotheca near the equator; this horn is frequently somewhat curved; equatorial groove not always well marked although there is always a line of weakness around the equator which results in a very large proportion of specimens being broken into two parts, longitudinal furrow not well developed and only rarely, if ever, visible.
Size Range: Total length 220 (467) 680 µm. Test 35 (65) 90 µm x 65 (98) 120 µm.
Apical Spine length 100 (250) 450 µm. Antapical spine length 190 (139) 220 µm. 2. 50 (85) 130 µm.
