Membranilarnacia? ovalis Cookson and Eisenack, 1974

Originally Membranilarnacia, subsequently (and now) Membranilarnacia?.
Stover and Evitt, 1978, considered this to be a provisionally accepted species of Membranilarnacia.

Age: Senonian

Original diagnosis: Cookson and Eisenack, 1974, p.72
Central shell oval, covered with short conical spines which support a thin membrane enveloping the central shell at a slight distance from the latter.
Dimensions: Central shell about 58 x 44 Ám, overall about 68 x 54 Ám. Length of processes 3-5 Ám, dimensions of space, between spines approximately equal the dimensions of their length, or are slightly above the same.
Occurrence. Madura 1 bore at 968-988 ft. One specimen.
