Membranilarnacia pterococcoides
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Membranilarnacia pterococcoides (Wetzel, 1933b, p.53, pl.6, fig.4) Eisenack, 1963a, p.102. Emendation: Sarjeant, 1985b, p.154–155, as Eatonicysta pterococcoides. Holotype: Wetzel, 1933b, pl.6, fig.4; Sarjeant, 1985b, pl.4, figs.3,6 (not 1–2); Dietz et al., 1999, fig.10, no.3. Originally Membranilarnax, subsequently (and now) Membranilarnacia, thirdly Membranilarnacia?, fourthly Eatonicysta. This species was retained in Membranilarnacia without question by Lachkar and Masure in Fauconnier and Masure (2004, p.388). Questionable assignment: Stover and Evitt (1978, p.64) as a problematic species. Age: Senonian.

Original description [Wetzel, 1933b] (translated from German):
Membranilarnax pterococcoides n. sp.
Plate VI, Fig. 4.
Type: Prep. 279 (Plate VI, Fig. 4).
Diagnosis: The round inner shell bears (approximately 15) variously thick (mostly thin) forked, furcate-like processes at their ends, irregularly distributed, seemingly across the entire surface. The shell, along with the processes, is enclosed by a light-colored, transparent outer skin, which is somewhat folded here and there and perhaps does not touch all processes equally. The overall shape is not quite spherical, but polygonal and sinuous. A framework of rods or a mesh of wing ridges was not discernible between the radial rods.
Color of the inner shell: blackish-brown; of the outer skin: yellowish-brown.
Comparable forms.
? 1904. Pterococcus labyrinthus OSTENFELD. LOHMANN, Wiss. Ergb. d. Plankton-Exp., Vol. 4, N, pp. 47 and 48, Plate 7, Figs. 16, 17, and 20.
1911. Pterococcus labyrinthus (OSTENFELD) LOHMANN, Nord. Plankton, 2, pp. 13 and 12, Fig. 9 (esp. No. 1).
The comparison of the flint fossil with Pterococcus labyrinthus was primarily prompted by Fig. 16 of Plate VII in LOHMANN (1911). Admittedly, the specimen there is depicted in glycerin, and consequently, the wing ridges and meshes characteristic of the extant organism have become almost invisible. The Membranilarnax species shown here, with its furcate spines and outer skin, is therefore quite different from Pterococcus labyrinthus, which I also used with reservations—even for comparison with another flint inclusion (p. 28 bottom and Plate IV, Fig. 11).
On the other hand, it is quite possible that the relationship between Membranilarnax (not only this species, but also the others) and Hystrichosphaera is even closer than the various genus names suggest. Perhaps the species referred to here as Membranilarnax will later be considered species of Hystrichosphaera, and they would likely be closely related to the Hamatae group. Of course, Disphaerogena, described above as an independent genus, would then also belong to the closer family of Hystrichosphaera. In the subsequent discussion of these questions, the observations made by preparator Elger-Eutin on carefully washed material of Paleogene clay (from Heiligenhafen and Ascheffel in Holstein) are very important. He found numerous forked spine spheres enclosed by a membranous, sometimes finely ornamented outer shell, i.e., hystrichospherids of the Membranilarnax type (see pp. 68/69).
Dimensions (of the illustrated fossil): diameter of the inner shell 32–40 μm, of the whole 64–68 μm, thickness of the whole approx. 60 μm.
Two specimens observed in glacial flint; found as fossils for the first time.
Plate VI, Fig. 4 from Prep. 279.
Note:
The appearance of a spiny sphere exhibiting an all-enclosing, circular line on its outer surface does not always prove the existence of a true outer membrane. It would be possible, for example, that colloidal substances in the seabed flocculate around a microfossil, so that even in the fossil state a "false," postmortem shell could be observed.

Membranilarnax pterococcoides n. sp.
Taf. VI Fig. 4.
Typus: Präp. 279 (Taf.

Taf. VI Fig. 4 aus Präp. 279.
Bemerkung.
