Hystrichosphaera tenuicapillata forma turbilineata (name not validly published), subsequently Areoligera
turbilineata, thirdly (and now) Areoligera tenuicapillata subsp. turbilineata. Sarjeant (1985b, p.153–154)
provided a detailed discussion of this taxon. Age: Senonian.

Hystrichosphaera tenuicapillata forma turbilineata n. f.
Plate IV, Fig. 21.
Diagnosis: Shell similar to the previous form, usually somewhat coarser and more rounded; distinguished by relatively strong, dark brown, wavy, and irregularly distributed striations (folds, cracks, or fissures?). Processes similar to the previous form, perhaps somewhat more numerous.
Mass (of the illustrated specimens): Shell diameter approx. 60 µm, with processes 72–88 µm, processes 13–24 µm long.
A larger "swarm" found in a glacial flint; observed in fossil form for the first time. Plate IV, Fig. 21 from Prep. 176.

Diagnose: Schale ähnlich wie bei der vorigen Form, meistens etwas gröber und rundlicher; durch verhältnismässig kräftige, dunkelbraune, wellig verlaufende und unregelmässiger verteilte Streifen (Falten, Risse oder Felderung?) ausgezeichnet. Fortsätze ähnlich wie bei der vorigen Form, vielleicht etwas zahlreicher.
Masse (der abgebildete Exemplare): Durchmesser der Schale ca. 60 u, mit Forts. 72-88 u, Forts. 13-24 u lang.
Ein grösserer "Schwarm" in einem Geschiebefeuerstein gefunden; zum erstenmal fossil beobachtet. Taf. IV Fig. 21 aus Präp. 176.
