Tax. jr. synonym of Spinidinium (now Magallanesium) densispinatum Stanley, 1965, according to Stone, 1973.

Outer cyst subovoidal in dorso-ventral view; length 50-60µ; membrane thin and badly folded, ornamented with short, spine-like processes that have a length of 1-1.5µm. Apical horn short; antapical horns unequally developed with the right horn short whereas the left horn may have a length up to 5µ. Inner cyst thin walled and more or less completely fills the outer cyst. Within the inner cyst of many specimens an elongated nuclei-like body is present. Girdle distinct, bordered by short spines, but girdle itself is usually free of spinelike ornamentation. Furrow indistinct. Archeopyle represented by a polygonally uotlined area on the epitheca.
