Scriniodinium dictyotum ssp. osmingtonense

Scriniodinium dictyotum subsp. osmingtonense Gitmez, 1970, p.310–311, pl.1, fig.3; pl.8, fig.12.

Holotype: Gitmez, 1970, pl.8, fig.12; Jan du Chêne et al., 1986a, pl.7, figs.10–11. Originally (and now) Scriniodinium dictyotum subsp. osmingtonense, subsequently Scriniocassis dictyota subsp. osmingtonensis, thirdly Aldorfia dictyota subsp. osmingtonensis. This subspecies is retained here since the species is now retained in Scriniodinium. Taxonomic senior synonym (at specific rank): Scriniocassis weberi, according to Davies (1983, p.24) — however, Jan du Chêne et al. (1986a, p.35) retained Scriniodinium dictyotum subsp. osmingtonense (as Aldorfia dictyota subsp. osmingtonensis). Age: early Kimmeridgian.

Original diagnosis: Gitmez, 1970, p.311
Scriniodinium dictyotum without any prominence at the apex.
Holotype: overall length 90 µm, breadth 82 µm; endoblast length 80 µm, breadth 70 µm. Range of the other specimens (6 specimens measured): overall length 75-90 µm, breadth 75-82 µm.

Original description: Gitmez, 1970, p.311
