Theca oval to broadly pyriform, with a flexible apical horn which is straight or curved in relation to the theca. Edge of the transverse furrow and margin of the apical plates surrounded by a colunmar type of sculpturing or by slender processes of different heights and bifurcate at the ends. The bifurcations at the ends of the processes may join together and subsequently branch to give a finely reticulate structure. This occurs more particularly at the antapical ends where the border is wider. Dimensions: Holotype: length 98.3 µm, breadth 75.8 µm, width of transverse furrow 4.5 µm. In other specimens: length 94.5 - 99 µm, breadth 75.6 - 83.8 µm, width of transverse furrow 5.4 µm.
