Polysphaeridium zoharyi ssp. ktana (Rossignol, 1964) Lentin and Williams, 1981
Originally Hystrichosphaeridium zoharyi var. ktana, subsequently Hemicystodinium zoharyi var. ktana (combination not validly published), thirdly Hemicystodinium zoharyi subsp. ktana, fourthly (and now) Polysphaeridium zoharyi subsp. ktana, fifthly Polysphaeridium subtile subsp. ktana. Lentin and Williams (1989, p.300) retained this taxon as a subspecies of Polysphaeridium zoharyi.
Tax. sr. synonym of Hystrichosphaeridium? breviatum Morgenroth, 1966, according to Islam, 1983; however, at the species rank Hystrichosphaeridium? breviatum is the sr. synonym. This taxon was raised to the subspecies level by Lentin and Williams, 1973. Islam, 1983 transferred this taxon to Polysphaeridium subtile Davey and Williams, 1966, as Polysphaeridium subtile ssp. ktana; however, Lentin and Williams, 1989 retained the taxon as a subspecies of Polysphaeridium zoharyi.
