    Pareodinia pseudochytroeides

                From Fensome et al., 2019:
Pareodinia? pseudochytroides (Below, 1987a, p.118–119, pl.15, figs.4–10) Lentin and Williams, 1989, p.283. Holotype: Below, 1987a, pl.15, figs.7–10; Fensome et al., 1993a, figs.3–6 — p.1291. Originally Dodekovia, subsequently (and now) Pareodinia?. Questionable assignment: Lentin and Williams (1989, p.283). Age: Toarcian.

Locus typicus: Knerton Hill, DeGeerdalen, Spitsbergen
Stratum typicum: Toarcian
Original description: Below, 1987, p. 118-119: Dodekovia pseudochytroides
Arrangement of vesicles/plates on the dinoflagellate amphiesma cop, pop, cap, 5' 3a, 6''-7'', 7c, 5''', 2'''', as, z, y, ps; 1'''' and 2'''' located symmetrically on either side of the dorsoventral plane. Cystic habit proximate, avavate, ovoidal, apically slightly acuminate, spheroidal, cingulum not reflected, therefore epicyst and hypocyst not differentiated, equatorial cross-section circular; size small; wall composed of thin pedium, luxuria prismatic; surface accordingly finely to coarsely shagreen, prismatic elements also enlarged into coarse granules which are sometimes fused together, nonareate; areation formula NR/PR, NR', NR1a, 2a(arch), NR3a, NR'', NRc, NR''', NR'''', NRs; archaeopyle anterior intercalary, 2a with monoareate, secate operculum with deltaform fastigiate contours, opercular formula 2a(s). Dimensions of holotype: Length 31 µm, breadth 26 µm, thickness 26 µm.
