Pareodinia? pseudochytroides (Below, 1987) Lentin and Williams, 1989

Originally Dodekovia, subsequently (and now) Pareodinia?. At the time of the transfer, Lentin and Williams, 1989 questionably included this species in Pareodinia.

Original description: Below, 1987, p. 118-119: Dodekovia pseudochytroides
Arrangement of vesicles/plates on the dinoflagellate amphiesma cop, pop, cap, 5" 3a, 6""-7"", 7c, 5""", 2"""", as, z, y, ps; 1"""" and 2"""" located symmetrically on either side of the dorsoventral plane. Cystic habit proximate, avavate, ovoidal, apically slightly acuminate, spheroidal, cingulum not reflected, therefore epicyst and hypocyst not differentiated, equatorial cross-section circular; size small; wall composed of thin pedium, luxuria prismatic; surface accordingly finely to coarsely shagreen, prismatic elements also enlarged into coarse granules which are sometimes fused together, nonareate; areation formula NR/PR, NR", NR1a, 2a(arch), NR3a, NR"", NRc, NR""", NR"""", NRs; archaeopyle anterior intercalary, 2a with monoareate, secate operculum with deltaform fastigiate contours, opercular formula 2a(s). Dimensions of holotype: Length 31 µm, breadth 26 µm, thickness 26 µm.
