Original description: MenÚndez, 1965, p. 9
Diagnosis: Theca broadly fusiform with a finely granulate or partly spiny surface. The epitheca is conical and higher than the hypotheca. The hypotheca is hemispherical, with two relatively short antapical appendages. The cingulum is excavated, well delineated, with spiny and granulated edges. The longitudinal sulcus is rectangular on the hypotheca, broadening towards the antapical appendages. The cyst is rounded, occupying the greater part of the theca; the aperture assumes a more or less rounded pentagonal shape; an operculum is present. The membrane measures 2.5 µm in thickness and is roughly granulate, with isolated papillae on the antapical and apical zone.
Dimensions: Length 130 µm, maximum breadth 92 µm, breadth of cingulum 8 to 9 µm, transverse axis of cyst 90 µm, longitudinal axis 54 µm.
