Pareodinia reticulata
Pareodinia? reticulata (Below, 1987) Lentin and Williams, 1989
Originally Dodekovia, subsequently (and now) Pareodinia?. At the time of the transfer, Lentin and Williams, 1989 questionably included this species in Pareodinia.
Holotype: Below 1987, pl.15, fig.11-15
Locus typicus: Knerton Hill, DeGeerdalen, Spitsbergen
Stratum typicum: Toarcian
Translation Below, 1987: Translation Bureau, Secretary of State Canada, 1988
Original description: Below, 1987, p. 119: Dodekovia rticulata
Arrangement of vesicles/plates on the dinoflagellate amphiesma cop, pop, cap, 5", 3a, 6""-7"", 7c, 5""", 2"""", as, z, y, ps; 1"""" and 2"""" located symmetrically on either side of the dorsoventral plane. Cystic habit proximate, acavate, sphaeoidal, ovaloidal, cingulum not reflected, therefore no visible separation of epicyst and hypocyst, or elongate ovaloidal with an occasional indistinct cingular indentation, then the epicyst and hypocyst approximately the same size, equatorial cross-section circular; size small; wall composed of thin pedium, luxuria an irregular reticulum with variable mesh size supported by very low columellae, also loosely condensed reticulum possible to form a nearly continuous outer surface, nonareate; areation formular NR/PR, NR", NR1a, 2a(arch), NR3a, NR"", NRc/Xc, with monoareate, secate operculum with a deltaform fastigiate shape, opercular formula 2a(s).
Dimensions of holotype: Length 33 µm, breadth 28 µm, thickness 28 µm.
