Now Cordosphaeridium?. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Achomosphaera, thirdly Lanternosphaeridium, fourthly (and now) Cordosphaeridium?, fifthly Spiniferites?.

Central shell oval, covered with few, thin and delicate processes, arising from wide bases, clearly bifurcate (Y-shaped) or trifurcate, may be joind by ridges. Pylomes frequent.
Dimensions: Holotype: Shell 83:70 µm, overall 146:138 µm. Other specimens: Shell 54:50 - 94:70 µm, overall 92:82 - 146:138 µm.
