Original description: Kunz, 1990, p.30
Proximate, ovoidal to subsphaeroidal cys. Epicyst slightly smaller than hypocyst. Areation gonyaulacoid but not visible in all details. Apical and precingular areae as well as the large antapical area clearly visible. Presumed areation formula: 4", 6"", Xc, 6""", 1p, 1"""". Archaeopyle apical, operculum adnate, foederate and polyareate. Wall composed of pedium and luxuria. Reticulum build up by irregular, low sutures.
Dimensions: Holotype: length (with operculum) 60 Ám, breadth 52 Ám. Further specimens: 5: length (with operculum) 44-55 Ám, breadth 42-51 Ám.

Affinities:
Kunz, 1990, p.30: Histiocysta palla Davey, 1969 consists of a intraareate reticulum, on H. outananensis Below, 1981, no reticulum is developed.
