Now Pervosphaeridium. Originally Trichodinium, subsequently Occisucysta, thirdly (and now) Pervosphaeridium.
Lentin and Williams, 1981, retalned this species in Trichodinium Eisenack and Cookson, 1960.

Shell oval to nearly spherical, girdle narrow, equatorial; aptca; horn narrow, straight-sided surmounted by three or more short, flat divergent fibres. Shell-membrane densely granular, sparsely covered with broadly-based spines. Pylome broad. Dimensions: Type--Overall 100µ, long, 81µ broad, shell-85µ; 81µ, horn c. 15µ long.
Now Pervosphaeridium. Originally Trichodinium, subsequently Occisucysta, thirdly (and now) Pervosphaeridium.
