Oligosphaeridium totum ssp. minus

From Fensome et al., 2019:
Oligosphaeridium totum ssp. minus (Brideaux, 1971, p.88–89, pl.25, figs.54,57) Lentin and Williams, 1973, p.100. Holotype: Brideaux, 1971, pl.25, fig.57. Originally Oligosphaeridium totum var. minus, subsequently (and now)
Oligosphaeridium totum subsp. minus. Age: late Albian.

Original description (Holotype): Brideaux, 1971, p.88-89
Length, 28 µm; width, 25 µm. Cyst body subcircular; complete specimen with 18 processes; process length 10--14 µm, basal width 2--5 µm; one process smaller, interpreted as corresponding to a sulcul process. Columns of process nearly tubular, apices flaring and buccinate, entire-margined, open.

Description: Brideaux, 1971, p. 89
Cyst body nearly circular in apical view, ovoid to subcircular in lateral view. Wall thin, scabrate, two-layered, the outer layer giving rise to tubular processes with flaring, open, entire-margined apices, corresponding in position to a reflected tabulation scheme of 4', 6", 0c, 5-?6''', 1p, 1'''', 1s, the sulcul process smaller. Archeopyle apical, approximately hexagonal in outline, the operculum bearing 4 apical processes.

Dimensions: Cyst length on 8 measured specimens, 26-38 µm; cyst width on 6 measured specimens, 17-31 µm; length of processes on 12 specimens, 4-16 µm; width of processes on 8 specimens, 1-11 µm. Total of 17 specimens recovered.

Affinities:
Brideaux, 1971, p. 89: The process on this form are always smaller than Oligosphaeridium totum var. totum and the cyst body is generally smaller.
