Membranilarnacia? formosa (Tasch, 1964) Eisenack and Kjellstr÷m, 1971

Originally Membranilarnax, subsequently Membranilarnacia?.
Taxonomic senior synonym: Schizosporis reticulata Cookson and Dettmann, 1959, a zygnematacean zygospore species, according to Pierce (1976, p.27).
At the time of the transfer, Eisenack and Kjellstrom, 1971, questionably included this species in Membranilarnacia.

Original diagnosis: Tasch, 1964, p.192: Membranilarnax formosa
Irregularly subovate shell, tapered apically and bearing a network of polygons on inner capsule; thin, short, tubular processes joined by fine membrane forming fringe to inner capsule; processes projecting from polygon corners.
Dimensions: Length (maximum), 90 Ám; width (maximum), 46 Ám; average diameter of polygons, 6 Ám; length of processes, 5 Ám; density of processes per 5 Ám of edge, 1.5.
