General configuration of shell subglobular, with medial apical notch; body covered by network of irregular polygons; fringing processes short, the projections arising from corners of body polygons and terminated by a membrane.
Dimensions: Length (excluding fringe), 106 Ám; width (excluding fringe), 90 Ám; length of processes, 7 Ám; diameter of processes, 1 Ám or less; distance apart of any two processes ca. 8 Ám; diameter of central capsule polygons ranging from 6 to 10 Ám.
