Membranilarnax leptoderma Cookson and Eisenack, 1958

Now Membranilarnacia. Originally Membranilarnax, subsequently (and now) Membranilarnacia.
Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, pl.10, fig.9; Fauconnier and Masure, 2004, pl.54, fig.1.

Original descrpition: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p. 50-51
Shell rather thick-walled, sphaeroidal to slightly oval with a granular surface and, in the two species available, a large pylome at one pole. The outer thin membrane which envelops the shell, except over the pylome, is supported by very slender, widely seperated processes, the ends of which are either bifurcate or slightly broadened.
Dimensions. Holotype - overall diameter 63-68 Ám, diameter of shell 50x46 Ám, pylome 25 Ám.

Affinities:
Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p. 51: This species differs from all other species of Membranilarnax in the rather wide space between the shell and the outer membrane, and the simple and distantly spaced supporting processes.
