Age: Early Cenomanian
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [Cookson and Eisenack, 1982] (translated from German):

Membranophoridim attadalicum n. sp.
Plate 6, Fig. 21

Type: The specimen shown on Plate 6, Fig. 21, and preserved in specimen Attadale A 1.
Diagnosis: Endophragm flattened, circular except for an apical circular segment, which is evidently
detached during hatching. Ectophragm approximately concentrically surrounding the endophragm, but projecting beyond it with a broad, slightly undulating border. Surface slightly granular.
Our species differs from the similar Membraniphoridium aspinatum Gerlach 1961 (p. 199, Plate 29, Figs. 7, 8) by the continuous antacal dermal border.
Dimensions: Height to the upper edge of the endophragm, approx. 95 μ, width approx. 94 μ. Distance of the margin at the equator approx. 9 μ, at the antapex approx. 14 μ, projecting beyond the apical margin by approx. 14 μ.
Occurrence: Attadale Bore, at 354 ft.
