Microdinium shangsicum
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Microdinium shangsicum He Chengquan, 1984b, p.160–161, pl.2, figs.1–6. Holotype: He Chengquan, 1984b, pl.2, fig.1. Originally Microdinium, subsequently Microdinium?. Questionable assignment: Below (1987b, p.39), as a "nomen dubium". Age: Tertiary.

Original description: [He Chengquan, 1984b] (translated from Chinese with Google):
Microdinium shangsicum (sp. nov.)
(Plate II, Figures 1-6)
Description: The shell is small, with a nearly circular outline. The girdle is wide (about 8 microns), annular, and composed of several plates, with a low ridge marking the edge of the girdle. The upper and lower shells are nearly equal in size, or the lower shell is larger than the upper shell. The plates are marked by low ridges and may be 1-2', 6", XC, 5-6", 1"". The top plate is clearly a single piece in some specimens, while others appear to be composed of two pieces (?) (possibly related to the..?
The shell wall is thin, single-layered, and the surface is nearly smooth and granular. The longitudinal groove is wide and extends from the lower shell to the waist belt.
The upper shell is not far above. The ancient mouth roof type is formed by the separation of the roof plate and the mouth cover is connected.
The shell is 40-45 μm long and 38-42 μm wide; the holotype is 40 μm long and 40 μm wide.
Discussion: This species is different from other species in this genus in that its upper and lower shells are nearly equal in size, the ridges are low and thin, and there are no spines on them.
Origin: Shangsi, Guangxi; the second section of the Yongning Group.
