Now Cribroperidinium. Originally Palaeoperidinium, subsequently Gonyaulax, thirdly Gonyaulacysta, fourthly Apteodinium, fifthly Millioudodinium, sixthly (and now) Cribroperidinium.
Tax. sr. synonym of Palaeoperidinium nuciformoides Gorka, 1965, according to Sarjeant, 1968. Lentin and Williams, 1985, retained the species in Apteodinium Eisenack, 1958.
