Autocyst proximate, peridinioid, compressed dorsoventrally, roundly pentagonal, relatively elongate. Apex acuminate with short apical horn. Two antapical horns short, well developed, acuminate, each ending in sharp, solid spine. Antapical depression quite prominent. Epicyst sides strongly convex; hypocyst sides generally slightly concave. Autophragm laevigate. Paracingulum more or less marked by transverse folds; paracingular crests absent. Hexa archeopyle formed by loss of intercalary 2a, symmetrically situated on middorsal line.
Dimensions: Holotype: autocyst length 63 Ám, breadth 50 Ám. Other specimens: autocyst length 55-80 Ám, breadth 45-70 Ám. Number of specimens measured, 15.

Affinities:
Biffi and Grignani, 1983, p. 136: Lejeunecysta pulchra differs from L. communis in having convex rather than straight epicyst sides, shorter antapical horns and in being relatively more elongate. It differs from L. diversiforma in having a more distinct apical horn, in being more elongate with the epicyst flanks strongly convex and the hypocyst flanks concave. A pericoel has never been observed.
