Lejeunia spatiosa Morgenroth, 1966
NOW Lejeunecysta. Originally Lejeunia (generic name illegitimate), subsequently Maduradinium, thirdly (and now) Lejeunecysta.
Following I.C.N. Article 55.1, the species name Lejeunia spatiosa is validly published even though the generic name Lejeunia is illegitimate.

Original Description Lejeunia spatiosa n. sp. Plate 1, Fig. 5
Derivatio nominis: spatiosus Latin = of great extent.
Holotype: The one in Slide H12 preserved specimen shown on plate 1, Fig. 5. Paratypoid: H5.
Locus typicus: Depold'sche Ziegelei (locally Helmstedt).
Stratum typicum: lower Oligocene.
Diagnose: A species of the genus Lejeunia with a broad granulated theca. The clearly depressed longitudinal furrow is limited on the hypocyst by two sharp straight edges. The transverse furrow is weakly indicated.
Description: The large, clearly granulated theca has a bilaterally symmetrical pentagonal outline. The cone-shaped epithet is rounded at the apex. The barely prominent transverse furrow runs in a slightly left-handed spiral. It is slightly sunk into the theca. Ventrally it is interrupted by the very deeply depressed, very wide transverse furrow, which is delimited by 2 sharp edges. The two clearly pronounced antapical horns are of unequal length.—No archeopyle was observed.

Comparison: The new species differs from Lejeunia hyalina GERLACH - apart from the dimensions - in the clear granulation of the theca, on which there are no vertical "folds". In contrast to the long furrow, which is very pronounced in the new species, this is only hinted at in Lejeunia hyalina.
