Leptodinium latolineatum
Leptodinium latolineatum Yun, 1981
NOW Ynezidinium. Originally Leptodinium, subsequently (and now) Ynezidinium.
Holotype: Yun, 1981, pl.9, figs.10a-b, text-figs.2a-b; Jan du ChĂȘne et al., 1986, pl.75, figs.12-14; Fensome et al., 1991, figs.1-4 p.659
Paratype: Yun, 1981; Jan du Chene et al., 1986
Locus typicus: Timmermann brickyard near Esbeck, Germany
Stratum typicum: Early Santonian
Translation Yun, 1981: Fensome, 1991
Original diagnosis: Yun, 1981, p. 11
A spherical proximate cyst with a tabulation indicated by pandasutural zones. Tabulation: 3", 6"", 5""", lp, 1"""", whereas the paracingulum is not subdivided.
Original description: Yun, 1981, p. 11
The slightly depressed pandasutural zones are marked by ridges or by thin, relatively low, distally serrate membranes. In the paratabulation paraplate 1" is always elongate quadrangular, whereas paraplates 2" and 3" are more or less quadrangular. Between paraplates 1" and 5" is an especially wide border zone which resembles paraplate 1". In the precingular plates, paraplate 6" is pentagonal and conspicuously small. Paraplate 3", which forms the triangular to quadrangular archeopyle, is bordered anteriorly by the two apical plates 2" and 3". The paracingulum is weakly helicoid and slightly wider than the pandasutural zones.
Among the postcingular paraplates, 2""", 3""", and 4""" are trapezoidal and very large, whereas paraplate 1""" is quadrangular and considerably smaller. The parasulcus is elongate triangular and separated from the paracingulum and other paraplates by ridges. Paraplate 1"""" is quadrangular.
