Skolochorate cysts; central body perprolate, ellipsoidal, and about twice as long as wide; autophragm thin, smooth, and single layered; central body bearing 60 or more, uniformly distributed, nontabular, and slender processes; stems of the processes 0.5 to 1 Ám wide and flexible; tips of the processes closed, flared, and forming small, umbrella-like, membranous structures fringed with up to 5 Ám long, straight or recurved spinules; length of the processes from 1/5 to 1/3 of the length of the central body; archeopyle precingular, type 2P; operculum free, often remaining in place.

Affinities:
Singh, 1983, p. 151: Kiokansium perprolatum differs from Kiokansium williamsii in being distinctly larger and having a more elongate central body which is usually twice as long as wide.
