Translation Olaru, 1978: Fensome et al., 1993

Original diagnosis: Olaru, 1978, p.86 [al. p.82]
An elongate form with a prominent equatorial cingulum which divides the body into an upper epitheca and a lower hypotheca. The epitheca ends in a narrow apical horn and the hypotheca terminates in two equal antapical horns.

Original description: Olaru, 1978a, p 86 [al. p.82]
The described form has a finely granulate surface and longitudinal, narrowly folded, plicae, which increase in size and number towards the equatorial region. In the equatorial zone, the transversely folded wall results in a prominent cingulum. A central body is absent.
Size: Maximum length 150 µm, width of equatorial zone 68 µm, length of apical horn 75 µm, length of antapical horns 25 µm.
