Original description (Lange, 1969)
Holotype: The specimen preserved in specimen no. 11924/2 and depicted in Plate I, Figure 6:
Locus typicus: Hojerup, Stevns-Klint (Zealand). Stratum typicum: Dan.

Diagnosis: The carapace is flattened, its outline (without processes) appears circular to slightly elliptical. The epithelial and hypothelial are of equal size. The epithelial ends in a long, clearly distinct apical horn. The hypothelial has two more or less strongly diverging, tapering, narrow anta-pical processes. The transverse furrow runs circularly and is only clearly visible at the lateral edges. An elongated, rectangular pyloma is located beneath the apex. The delicate inner capsule lies very closely against the outer edge of the carapace. Notes: The species is characterized by a circular to slightly oval body outline and the development of its appendages. The shell membrane is finely granulated. In contrast to the specimen described by DRUGG (1967) from the Californian desert, the Stevns-Klint forms lack a longitudinal furrow.
Number of specimens: 7.

Holotype dimensions: 151 (80): 80 (78).
dimensions (average of 7 specimens): 155 (81): 83 (80).
Stratigraphic and regional distribution: Dan: Stevns-Klint (Zealand).
