Deflandrea oebisfeldensis ssp. oebisfeldensis
Autonym
Holotype: Alberti, 1959, pl.8, fig.13
Locus typicus: Northern Germany
Stratum typicum: Paleocene-Early Eocene
Translation Alberti, 1959: LPP
Original diagnosis: Alberti, 1959, p. 95-96: Deflandrea oebisfeldensis
Shell flattened, outline elongate pentagonal. The epitheca, being somewhat larger than the hypotheca, forms a sharp- to right-angled triangle. The sides are sometimes lightly bent inwards or outwards. The epitheca is streched into a short apical horn. The hypotheca has the form of an equilateral trapezium turned upside-down, antapically weakly concave. Two very small antapical horns. Only an indication of lateral horns, that are warded at the tips. A narrow transversal band
is located on the dorsal side and on the flanks of the ventral side, and a broad longitudinal furrow is situated on the hypotheca. Armour smooth, rarely covered with a few very small thorns. Inner body with a firm membrane.
