Deflandrea oebisfeldensis ssp. ovalis
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Deflandrea oebisfeldensis ssp. ovalis (Vozzhennikova, 1967, p.146, pl.71, fig.2) Lentin and Williams, 1973, p.43. Holotype:
Vozzhennikova, 1967, pl.71, fig.2; Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990, text-fig.26, lost according to Lentin and Vozzhennikova (1990, p.54). Originally Deflandrea oebisfeldensis forma ovalis, subsequently (and now) Deflandrea oebisfeldensis subsp. ovalis. According to Lentin and Vozzhennikova (1990, p.54), no potential lectotype is available. Age: Eocene. Translation Vozzhennikova, 1967: Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: Vozzhennikova, 1967, p. 146: Deflandrea oebisfeldensis forma ovalis
Theca oval pentagonal, with slightly convex sides having a central angulation. Epitheca triangular, with convex uniformly thick lateral walls and a short, conical bluntly ending apical horn which is slightly deflected to the side. Hypotheca trapeziform, with straight or feebly concave lateral walls and a transverse furrow which is almost parallel to the concave posterior margin. The antapical horns are short, triangular, situated far apart and have pointed or blunt tips. The internal body is oval. Its surface, and that of the theca is granulate. Pylome trapeziform.
Size: Holotype, length 125 µm, width 98 µm, width of paracingulum about 6 µm; endocyst, length 73 µm, width 81 µm.
