From Fensome et al., 2019:
Deflandrea severnensis Benson, 1976, p.195–196, pl.10, figs.1–3. Holotype: Benson, 1976, pl.10, figs.1–3. Age: late
Maastrichtian.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original diagnosis: Benson, 1976, p.195
Cavate cyst with reduced apical and antapical horns. Periphragm and endophragm thin, each less than 0.9 µm in thickness. Periblast ornamented with varying numbers of short spines, frequently but not always intratabulary arranged reflecting a tabulation of 4', 3a, 7'', ?c, ?5''', 2''''. Tabulation generally incomplete on individual specimens. Archeopyle intercalary (Type I/I). Cingulum equatorial, slightly levorotary. Sulcus strongly developed. Endoblast closely appressed to periblast.
Dimensions: Holotype: Periblast length 71 µm, width 65 µm; endoblast length 52 µm, width 61 µm; apical pericoel 9 µm.
