Deflandrea sibirica (Vozzhennikova, 1963) Lentin and WIlliams, 1976; Emendation: Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990, p.39-40, as Cerodinium sibiricum.

Now Cerodinium. Originally (and now) Cerodinium, subsequently Deflandrea. See also Ceratiopsis (combination illegitimate).
Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990, emended the diagnosis of this species, as Cerodinium sibiricum.

Original description: Vozzhennikova, 1963, p.181: Cerodinium sibiricum
Cells spherical or lentiform, with one apical ant two witely spacet antapical horns. Girdle annular; longitutinal furrow situated on hypovalve. Width of furrow varies. Membrane thin, delicate, smooth, hyaline. Internal body occupies the whole cell cavity, its color being darker than that of the membrane.
