Tanyosphaeridium jurassicum
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Tanyosphaeridium jurassicum Jain and Garg in Jain et al., 1984, p.73, pl.1, fig.10. Holotype: Jain et al., 1984, pl.1, fig.10. Age: Kimmeridgian–early Tithonian.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original diagnosis: Jain and Garg, 1984, p.73
Cyst chorate, elongate; periphragm forming processes; processes simple or distally branched, equal in length, arranged around cyst in regular circular manner. Archeopyle apical.
Dimensions: Holotype Range
Cyst size: 70 x 60 µm 60 x 45-80-88 µm
Length of processes: upto 12 µm 10-12 µm
Distance between processes along vertical axis: up to 12 µm 10-12 µm
Affinities:
Jain and Garg, 1984, p.73: T. jurassicum differs from all the known species of the genus in its smaller size and distally branched processes.
