Now Alisogymnium. Originally Dinogymnium, subsequently (and now) Alisogymnium.
Tax. jr. synonym of Dinogymnium sphaerocephalum (Vozzhennikova, 1967) Lentin and Williams, 1973, according to Jain, 1977. Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990, retained Dinogymnium (as Alisogymnium) assamicum as a separate species.

Shell oblong, poles broadly rounded, sides convex, epitheca slightly longer than hypotheca. Cingulum broad, deep, circular. Hypotheca bowl shaped without longitudinal ribs. Epitheca conical, longitudinal ribs few, distantly placed, broad, with straight to undulating margin; surface granulate. Archaeopyle apical.
