NOW Wallodinium. Originally Diplotesta (generic name illegitimate), subsequently (and now) Wallodinium. Following I.C.N. Article 55.1, the species name Diplotesta anglica is validly published even though the generic name Diplotesta is illegitimate.
Holotype: Cookson and Hughes, 1964, pl.11, fig.2
Locus typicus: Upper Gault, 59/11/14, CG2
Stratum typicum: Late Albian-Early Cenomanian
Original diagnosis: Cookson and Hughes, 1964, p.57
Shell elongated with, in side view, one side straigm or slightly concave, the other strongly convex, narrowing towards bluntly pointed apices one of which is usually open as the result of the partial or complete detachment of the wall along a straight line (Pl. 11 figs. 1, 3, 4). Capsule elongate-oval, strongly biconvex, narrowing somewhat towards both ends. The shell-membrane is scabrate.
Dimensions: Holotype 126 Ám long, 44 Ám broad; capsule 52 x 24 Ám. Range: 34-80 Ám long, 29-44 Ám broad; capsule 25-54 Ám long, 17-23 Ám broad.
