Endoceratium perforatum Vozzhennikova, 1967

Now Xenascus. Originally Endoceratium, subsequently (and now) Xenascus.
Tax. jr. synonym of Phoberocysta (now Xenascus) ceratioides (Deflandre, 1937) Davey and Verdier, 1971, according to Davey and Verdier, 1971. Yun, 1981, emended the diagnosis of Xenascus perforatus and retained it as a separate species.
Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990, provided an expanded description for this species, as Xenascus perforatus.

Hypotheca with two, widely seperated, divergent antapical horns of unequal size. The narrower part of the horns have pores. The smaller horn lies below the transverse furrow. The latter is well-developed and its edges, together with the lateral walls of the horns and theca bear a few pointed spines. Internal body oval, its surface covered with small rosettes coloured yellow. The thecal surface smooth. The epitheca is not preserveed in our material.
Dimensions: holotpe - length of crushed theca 156 Ám, length of antapical horns 95.5 Ám and 62.1 Ám, breadth 97.2 Ám, breadth of internal body 67.5 Ám.
