Evansia tripartita (Johnson and Hills, 1973) Jansonius, 1986

Originally Pareodinia, subsequently Glomodinium, thirdly Evansia.
Tax. jr. synonym of Evansia (as Pareodinia) evittii (Pocock, 1972) Jansonius, 1986, according to Wiggins, 1975, and Lentin and Williams, 1989.
Jansonius, 1986, retained it as a separate species of Evansia.

Locus typicus: Axel Heiberg Island, Canada
Stratum typicum: Upper Bathonian

Original description: Johnson and Hills, 1973, p. 208: Pareodinia tripartita
Cyst circular to ellipsoidal in outline, tapering to a short apical horn, pointed at its tip; tabulation usually apparent only at the archaeopyle, which forms by loss of 3 intercalary plates of approximately equal size; anterior and posterior parts of the pronciple archaeopyle suture serrate; cingulum broad, usually indistinct; cyst wall smooth, relatively thick and resistant to folding; Kalyptra may be present.
Dimensions: (20 specimens) Overall - length 55-64 µm, width 39-46 µm, apical horn 10-14 µm.
