Exochosphaeridium striolatum

Exochosphaeridium striolatum (Deflandre, 1937) Davey, 1969

Now Coronifera. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Baltisphaeridium, thirdly Exochosphaeridium, fourthly (and now) Coronifera.
Tax. synonym of Operculodinium hirsutum (Ehrenberg, 1838) Lentin and Williams, 1973, according to Sarjeant, 1984, which, as noted by that author, is not a validly published species name.
This combination was not validly published in Davey et al., 1966, since these authors did not fully reference the basionym.
