Imbatodinium verrucosum
Imbatodinium verrucosum Vozzhennikova, 1967
Now Gochteodinia. Originally Imbatodinium, subsequently Pareodinia, thirdly (and now) Gochteodinia.
Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990, emended the diagnosis of this species, as Gochteodinia verrucosa.
Holotype: Vozzhennikova, 1967, pl.12, fig.6; Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990, pl.11, fig.5, text-fig.46
Locus typicus: Moscow Regin, Russia
Stratum typicum: Late Jurassic
Translation Vozzhennikova, 1967: Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990
Original description: Vozzhennikova, 1967, p.56
Theca pyriform with slightly convex sides, a small apical process and a broadly rounded antapex. The annulate transverse furrow divides the theca into two unequal parts. Epitheca two to two and one half times the size of the hypotheca. At the distal end of the apical process there is a short, curved ant bluntly, rounded tip. Hypotheca short with two antapical processes, one of which is broadly rounded and the other is smaller in size and indeterminate in outline. The surface of the envelope is finely granular and covered with short, stout, tuberculate projections. The color of the envelope is dark yellow.
