NOW Exochosphaeridium. Originally Impletosphaeridium, subsequently (and now) Exochosphaeridium.
Age: Mid Eocene.

Original description (Jain and Tandon, 1981)
Diagnosis: Cyst body spherical, surface granular, covered with numerous erect, simple or branched, solid processes; process stem striate, fenestrate, distal termination recurved or serrate or bifid. Archaeopyle precingular, triangular.
Measurements (in µm): Diameter of central body: 72 (holotype) 66-72 (range). Length of processes up to 14 (holotype) 12-16 (range).
Comparison: Impletosphaeridium granulosum differs from the known species of the genus in its large size and granular surface.
