Isabelidinium microverrucosum

Isabelidinium? microverrucosum (Yu Jingxian and Zhang Wangping, 1980) Lentin and Williams, 1985

Incorrect orthographic variant of Isabelidinium? (now Alterbidinium) microverrusum,
Originally Deflandrea, subsequently (and now) Isabelidinium?. Lentin and Williams, 1985, questionably included the species in Isabelidinium.
Yu Jingxian and Zhang Wangping, 1980, gave the citation as "Deflandrea microverrusa".

Holotype: Yu Jingxian and Zhang Wangping, 1980, pl.3, fig.2
Age: Campanian-Early Maastrichtian

Original description Yu Jingxian and Zhang Wangping 1980 [translation Suning Hou, 2025]:

Deflandrea microverrucosa sp.nov.
Holotype: Slide number W3-19F, Plate III, Figure 2, Yegizya Formation.
Description: The cyst measures 41.4-46.0 µm, with the holotype measuring 43.7 µm in length and 39.1-43.7 µm in width, with the holotype width being 43.7 µm. The apical horn measures 4.6-6.9 µm in length. The antapical horn is approximately 3.0-4.0 µm. The cyst is dorsoventrally flattened with a nearly round to elongated oval contour. It consists of two membrane layers, with the outer membrane surrounding the central body. The apical horn is triangular, with the terminal wall slightly inward-curved, forming a small circular opening that connects to the outside. The antapical horns are slightly developed, with two unequal horns. The central body fills almost the entire cyst, and its surface is densely covered with small tubercular ornamentation. The cingulum is narrow, about 3 µm, with small serrations on both sides, and the polygonal archeopyle.
Comparison: The cyst shape and contour are similar to those described by Stanley for D. microgranulata, but the new species has coarser surface ornamentation in the form of small tubercles, and the apical horn is inward-curved at the end with a thicker wall, distinguishing it from Stanley's description.
Stratigraphy: Upper part of the Uytak-Kukbay Formation and Yegizya Formation. 乌依塔克一库克拜组上部和依格孜牙组
