Name illegitimate: nomencl. jr. synonym of Fromea granulata Lentin and Williams, 1977, which has the same holotype.
The nom. subst. Fromea granulata Lentin and Williams, 1977, predates Fromea senegalensis Jain and Millepied, 1977, by one month (fide Lentin and Williams, 1985).
