Gonyaulax perforans var. kunzeviensis
Gonyaulax perforans ssp. kunzeviense Vozzhennikova, 1967
Now Cribroperidinium? perforans ssp. kunzeviense. Originally Gonyaulax perforans var. kunzeviensis, subsequently Gonyaulacysta kunzeviensis, thirdly (and now) Cribroperidinium? perforans ssp. kunzeviense; see also Gonyaulacysta perforans var. kunzeviensis (combination not validly published).
Holotype: Vozzhennikova, 1967, pl.30, fig.2 (lost, according to Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990)
Lectotype: none available, according to Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990)
Locus typicus: Moscow region, Russia
Stratum typicum: Valanginian
Translation Vozzhennikova, 1967: Lentin and Vozzhennikova, 1990
Original description: Vozzhennikova, 1967, p.87
Theca ovoid, divided into two almost equal parts. Epitheca conical with a horn. Transverse furrow twisted to the left, its ends separated by a distance corresponding to 1-1.5 times the width of the furrow. Longitudinal furrow extends toward the antapex. Arrangement of plates: as for the species (see plate 30, fig.1). margin of transverse furrow bordered by a narrow, smooth, lenticular projection. The same light projection are present along the sutures of the plates; the projections on the hypotheca expanding in width towards the antapex where they fuse as a broad outgrowth surrounding the antapex. Tbe projections on the epitheca are narrower although their width does increase somewhat at the angles where the plates join. Those of the apical plates extend on to the apical horn and, continuing along this structure, extent its length slightly.
Size: Holotype, length 107 Ám, width 70 Ám width of paracingulum about 5 Ám; length of apical horn with its process 23 Ám without its process 11 Ám, width of process to the antapex 8 Ám.
