Description from He Chengquan, 1991, translated by Suning Hou, 07-01-2019
Description: The cyst is micro, body round-oval. Wall thin, smooth surface; with a large number of processes, 20-30 around the body, thin rod-shaped, width uniform, straight or slightly curved, the ends simple or a few slightly expanded-bifurcated; The length of the processes is 1/4 - 1/3 of the body diameter. Archeopyle outline horseshoe shape, precingular, P-type, formed by the loss of the third precingular plate. Operculum off or fell into the body cavity. Body diameter 17-22μm, process length 5μm (measured 2); Holotype body diameter 22μm, process length about 5μm.
Comparison: This species differs from other species known in the genus in micro individuals. It is similar to Cleistosphaeridium minor in appearance, but the former has more processes and the archeopyle precingular.
