Hebecysta brevicornuta Bujak and Fisher, 1976, is a double-walled cyst with oval to subpolygonal to subrhomboidal endocyst. Pericyst smooth or granular, forming small distinct rounded horn. Antapical horn absent. Low, narrow crests delineate slightly laevorotatory cingulum and sometimes also present on rest of cyst, particularly on the epicyst where they indicate partial tabulation. Archeopyle formed by loss or displacement of two or three anterior intercalary plates.

Double-walled cysts, endophragm oval, subpolygonal, or subrhomboidal in outline. Periphragm smooth or granular, forming small, distinct, rounded apical horn. Antapical horns absent. Low, narrow crests delimiting slightly laevo-rotary cingulum and sometimes also present on remainder of cyst, particularly on epitract where they occasionally have partial tabular arrangement. Archeopyle formed by loss or displacement of two or three anterior intercalary plates.
Dimensions: Holotype, length 53 µm, breadth 47 µm. Observed range, length 51-60 µm, breadth 46-50 µm.
