Translation Below, 1981: Femsome, 1991, p. 704

Original diagnosis: Below, 1981, p. 55
Proximate, elongate-ovoidal to ellipsoidal cyst with a single-layered wall. Hypocyst somewhat larger than the epicyst. Epicyst with a low, distally rounded, apical protuberance which is triangular in outline. Although apicals, precingulars and postcingulars and one antapical paraplate can usually be differentiated, the exact paratabulation cannot be determined. Nevertheless, it follows the gonyaulacoid pattern: 3"-?4", 6", Xc, 5"""-?6""", pc, 1"""". Stout, vermiculate, distally very uneven costae occur on the parasutures. They are often interrupted, so that the ends of the sections can be bent towards the interior of the paraplate, thus occupying penitabular positions. Commonly the boundary ridges also break down completely to form low, solid, stout, distally branched appendages. Likewise, intratabular vermiculate costae or knots, tubercles, gemmae or bullae (tubercles elongated parallel to the surface) occur. The paracingulum is equatorial and helicoid- its ends are offset at the parasulcus by a distance of about 1 to 1.5 times its width. The archeopyle is of type (A)a.
