Now Alisogymnium laeve. Originally Gymnodinium sphaerocephalum var. Iaeve, subsequently Dinogymnium sphaerocephalum ssp. Iaeve, thirdly (and now) Alisogymnium laeve.

Epitheca hemispherical, separated from the hypotheca by a deep furrow. Hypotheca funnelshaped and ribbed, the surface of the epitheca being smooth.
Now Alisogymnium laeve. Originally Gymnodinium sphaerocephalum var. Iaeve, subsequently Dinogymnium sphaerocephalum ssp. Iaeve, thirdly (and now) Alisogymnium laeve.
