Heibergella salebrosacea

Heibergella salebrosacea Bujak and Fisher, 1976

Holotype: Bujak and Fisher, 1976, pl.8, figs.9-10
Locus typicus: Drake Point F-16, Queen Elizabeth Islands, arctic Canada
Stratum typicum: Carnian-Norian

Original diagnosis: Bujak and Fisher, 1976, p.56
Apparently single-walled cysts, broadly biconical to oval in outline with one small apical and one small but distinct antapical horn. In rare specimens, horns may be more strongly developed. Presence of second, strongly reduced antapical horn sometimes suggested by small lobe. Cingulum circular to slightly laevo-rotary, defined by two low crests and interrupted by sulcus whose position on hypotract is marked by depression and sometimes by lateral crests. Cyst wall thin, outer surface densely granular. Archeopyle anterior intercalary, formed by loss or displacement of portion of wall probably corresponding to single plate.
Dimensions: Holotype, length 60 µm, breadth 45 µm. Observed range, length 50-68 µm, breadth 37-46 µm.
