Holotype: Yun, 1981, pl.8, figs.2a-b; Fensome et al., 1991, figs.2-3 - p.727
Paratype: Yun, 1981, pl.8, fig.1
Locus typicus: Timmermann brickyard near Esbeck, Germany
Stratum typicum: Early Santonian
Translation Yun, 1981: Fensome, 1991, p. 728

Original diagnosis: Yun, 1981, p. 73
The central body, which is spherical to rounded hexagonal in outline is divided into paraplates by wing-like membranes up to 13 Ám high. The paracingulum and paraplate lp are characterized by flattened cylinders. The paratabulation is as follows: 3", 5", 0-la, 6c, lp, 5""", 1"""". The archeopyle is formed by the loss of the entire epicyst which breaks off along the anterior paracingular margin and only occasionally remains attached to the hypocyst.

Original description: Yun, 1981, p. 73
The wing-like membranes are very delicate and are occasionally perpendicularly striate or folded. They are usually of uniform height but may be slightly lower gonally. The paracingular cylinders are interconnected by a single-layered membrane except in the parasulcal area, where a zone about 12 Ám wide is developed. This parasulcal zone widens slightly posteriorly but narrows anteriorly. The structure of the posterior intercalary plate exactly matches that of an individual paracingular plate. There is no apical horn.
